Walter G-Morse – President – UFV of Maine – August 2016

Walter is an Army retired veteran and is co-owner with his wife, Aaron, of Patriot Ridge Homestead in Jefferson, Maine. When not farming, raising his family, or serving in his local community, Walter spends time at the VA helping other vets through fishing with Project Healing Waters.




Chris Knowlton – Vice-President – UFV of Maine – August 2016

Chris is a Navy veteran and is co-owner with his wife of Knowlton Hill Farms in Swanville, Maine. When not farming Chris runs a construction company and a land surveying business. Chris is the membership director for our organization and is a great leader in his community as well as in our boardroom.




Jerry Ireland – Executive Director – UFV of Maine – August 2016

Jerry is an Army veteran and co-owner with his wife, Emily, of Ireland Hill Farms in Swanville, Maine. When not farming, Jerry runs the day-to-day operations at UFV of Maine and speaks several times each month at public forums on behalf of veterans in Maine agriculture.




Fran Lofland – Financial Secretary & Chief Operations Officer – UFV of Maine – February 2017

Fran comes to us with decades of experience in operations, project management, and several direct family members that have served in our Armed Forces. She currently lives in Yarmouth, Maine.


Tom Wagner – State Education & Mentorship Director – UFV of Maine- August 2016




Richard Brzozowski – Public Education Director – UFV of Maine – 

 United Farmer Veterans works closely with him in discovering how best to approach each educational aspect we implement. He currently serves as the Food System Program Administrator for the University of Maine Cooperative Extension.
